Obituary for Dorothy Mae Muncey (Graham)

Mrs. Dorothy Mae (Graham) Muncey-age 66 of Maynardville born June 15, 1948, passed away 3:40 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2014 at Ft. Sander’s Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Black Oak Ridge Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Standard Knitting Mill. Preceded in death by parents: Rufus and Cora (Tomlinson) Graham; sisters: Audrey Alley, Linda Sexton and Brenda Bailey; brothers: Robert “Bob” Graham, Earl Graham and Charles “Buster” Graham. Survived by husband of 47 years: Jack Muncey; sisters and brothers-in-law: Margaret (Raley) and Roy Irick, Wanda Oaks, Kaye Merritt, Teresa and Gary Capps, Debbie and Lloyd Poore; brothers and sister-in-law: James “Bud” Graham, Tim and Teresa (Pursiful) Graham. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family would like to express a special thanks to the nurses of 8N of Ft. Sander’s Regional Medical Center along with the attending physicians. The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Saturday, October 25, 2014 with funeral services following in the Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Oliver Wolfenbarger, Rev. Greg Raley, and Rev. Derrick Merritt officiating. Music by Union Baptist Church Singers and Bryce Raley. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home 10:15 a.m. Sunday for procession to the 11 a.m. graveside service at Big Barren Cemetery, Maynardville. Pallbearers: Dylan Merritt, Robert Alley, John Capps, Bryce Raley, Kaine Savage and Kaleb Savage. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
