Obituary for Rev. Jackie Odell Rosenbalm

Rev. Jackie Odell Rosenbalm-age 84 of Luttrell passed from this life to his heavenly home March 2, 2015. Born in Anderson County, TN the son of the late Elbert and Maggie Rosenbalm. He made his home in Luttrell after his marriage to his wife of 63 years, Mary A. (DeVault) Rosenbalm. Odell loved the Lord, loved his family and loved farming. He was a member of Pennington Chapel Baptist Church and served as an ordained minister for as long as his health would allow. He served 16 years in the jail ministry for the Union County Sheriff’s Office. He was fortunate to be with family at home up until his last breath on this earth as he wished. He is preceded in death by a loving family to include his parents, Elb and Maggie Rosenbalm, brothers, Zorro Rosenbalm and wife, Georgia; Fletcher Rosenbalm; sisters, Flossie Cox and husband, Avie; Dossie Nelson and husband, Burley. Survivors: wife, Mary Rosenbalm; son, Bert Rosenbalm; daughter, Jan Walker and husband, Pat; daughter, Esther Ruffner. He is also sadly missed by grandchildren, Rebecca and Kent Erickson, Luke Walker, Jake Ruffner, Hollie Ruffner; five great- grandchildren, Shannon, Morgan, Hannah, Rhona and Thorin Erickson. Sister-in-law, Reeva Rosenbalm. A great number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015 with funeral services to follow 7 p.m. Friday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Bobby Kitts , Rev. Jason Nicely officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Saturday, Luttrell Cemetery, Rev. Kevin Sexton officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pennington Chapel Baptist Church, c/o Virginia Bailey, 1387 Walkers Ford Road, Maynardville, TN 37807 Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
