Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James Suffridge can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for James Edward "Big Red - Panama" Suffridge Jr.

Mr. James E. Suffridge, Jr. “Big Red’’ “Panama”-age 53 of Powder Springs went to be with our heavenly Father Sunday, April 12, 2015. Member of Elm Springs Baptist Church. James was a coon hunter for years. Preceded in death by parents, Edward and Joyce Suffridge. Survivors: fiancé, Rhonda C. Mitchell for 25 years of Powder Springs; brothers, Johnny and Jerry Suffridge of Washburn; sisters, Jeanette and Joyce Ann Suffridge of Maynardville, Kathy Nicley of Blaine, Susan (Larry) Greene of Morristown. Step-son: Kevin Collins. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of friends. Special friends, Rebecca Nicley, Tracy Nicley and Connie L. Bailey. The family will receive friends 5-8 P.M. Friday with memorial services to follow at 8:00 P.M. Friday, April 17, 2015 at Johnson’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, Rev. Greg Hurst, Rev. Danny Collins officiating. Music by Sandra White. Interment of cremains will be 4 P.M. Saturday, Williams Cemetery, Washburn. Honorary Pallbearers: Gordon Beeler, Terry Hill, Mark Johnson, Billy Leonard, Joe Leonard, Bobby Pendergrass, Johnny Collins, Rick Thomas. Donations can be made towards funeral expenses at the funeral home. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
