Obituary for Gladys Ray

Gladys Ray-age 63 of Maynardville went home to be with the Lord Friday afternoon, April 24, 2015 at U. T. Medical Center. She was a member of Alder Springs Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Andy and Maggie Ray; sister, Mary Teresa Ray; brother, Andy Ray, Jr. Survivors: brothers, Clarence Ray, J. C. Ray, Troy Ray and wife, Helen; E. J. Ray; sisters, Pearl Ray, Dorothy Ray, Pauline Caldwell and husband, Jeff; sister-in-law, Carolyn Ray. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Special friends, Bill and Alice Malone, Trish and Virginia McPhetridge. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2015 with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m., Alder Springs Baptist Church, Maynardville, Rev. Jimmy Davidson officiating with music by Alder Springs Singers. Interment 11 a.m. Monday, Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville. Pallbearers: Max Ray, Clarence Ray, Bill Malone, Johnny Nolan, Jimmy Caldwell, Roger Nicley. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
