Obituary for Mary Anne Rosenbalm (DeVault)

Mary A. (DeVault) Rosenbalm-age 80 of Luttrell passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 at North Knoxville Medical Center. Mary was a member of Pennington Chapel Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, and enjoyed being a homemaker. She took pride in her cooking and preparing delicious meals for family, always insisting that any visitors to her home share a meal before leaving. She also enjoyed gardening, canning and preserving food for her family. She was a retired employee of Standard Knitting Mills, Knoxville and Volunteer Apparel Company, Luttrell. She was preceded in death by two months by her husband of 63 years, Rev. Odell Rosenbalm, parents, Bert and Maude DeVault. Survivors: son, Bert Rosenbalm; daughter, Jan Walker and husband, Pat; daughter, Esther Ruffner. She is also sadly missed by grandchildren: Rebecca and Kent Erickson, Luke Walker, Jake Ruffner, Hollie Ruffner; five great-grandchildren: Shannon, Morgan, Hannah, Rhona and Thorin Erickson; sister-in-law, Reeva Rosenbalm. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m., Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Bobby Kitts, Rev. Jason Nicely officiating. Interment 2 p.m. Friday, Luttrell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pennington Chapel Baptist Church c/o Virginia Bailey, 1387 Walkers Ford Road, Maynardville, TN 37807 or to the Samaritans Purse. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
