Obituary for Michael Eugene Henderson

Michael E. Henderson-age 64 of Maynardville went to be with the Heavenly Angels Wednesday morning, May 13, 2015 at Tennova Hospice. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran having served in the Viet Nam War. Michael was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service for over 30 years. Preceded in death by parents, Howard and Trula Henderson; wife, JoAnn Henderson; son, Jeff Henderson; parents-in-law, Albert and Betty Pauline Wood. Survivors: wife, Betty Henderson; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Chris Durff; step-children, Charlotte and Tim Nealon, Jeremy and Crystal Sells; brother and sisters, Linda Taylor, Steve and Brenda Henderson, Sue and John Sherrod; grandchildren, Rachael Henning, Jake Nealon, Ryan and Dylan Sells. Several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles he loved very much. Special nephew, Mason Taylor. The family would like to thank everyone at Tennova Hospice in Halls for all they have done for Michael and the family. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2015 with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m., Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev, Kyle Shell, Rev. Josh Jones officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Saturday, Cooke Family Cemetery, Andersonville with military graveside rites conducted by Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard. Family and friends will meet 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
