Brenda J.  Maples (Fortenberry)
Mrs. Brenda J. Maples-age 67 of Maynardville went to be with the Lord Thursday, December 24, 2015 at North Knoxville Medical Center. She was a member of Hines Creek Baptist Church where she served as the pianist for over 30 years. Preceded in death by father, Charles Edward Fortenberry.
Survivors: husband, Roy Maples, Maynardville; daughter, Alesia Brewer, McKee, Kentucky; special adopted daughter, Keisha Combs; son, Stephen Maples and wife, Angie of Maynardville. Grandchildren, Aaron Brewer, Brandon Holloway, Austin Brewer, Tyler Maples, Bridgett Maples; great-grandchild, Braelynn Holloway. Mother, Rachel Fortenberry; brothers, Charles, James, Ricky and Randy Fortenberry; sisters, Sandy McMurray, Kathy McCloud and Karen Johnson. Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2015, Hines Creek Baptist Church, Rev. Bobby Kitts, Rev. Mark Large officiating with music by the Sherritze Family. Interment to follow Hinds Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers: Aaron Brewer, Brandon Holloway, Austin Brewer, Tanner Maples, Matthew McMurray, Travis McMurray. Honorary Pallbearers: Scott McCloud, Rickey Maples. The family will receive friends 5-7 P.M. Sunday, December 27, 2015, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
