Obituary for Charles W. "Huck" Huskey Sr.

Mr. Charles W. (Huck) Huskey, Sr.-age 85 of Washburn went home to be with the Lord Wednesday morning, May 25, 2016. He was a member and deacon of Mt. Eager Baptist Church. Charles served as a Union County Commissioner for 14 years (1972-1986) and was a member of the Board of Directors of Liberty Hill Cemetery for 30 years. Huck enjoyed spending time with his many friends at Hardee’s and McDonald’s in Maynardville.

Survivors: wife of 65 years, Helen Nicely Huskey; children, Chuck (Becky) Huskey; Pam (Steve) Acuff and Elaine (Joey) Clay; grandchildren, Chris Acuff, Lori Clay, Misty Seal, Kendall Acuff, Brandi Frye, Josh Clay, Lindsey Bailey, Holly Nicely and Tyler Clay. 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 with funeral services 8 p.m. Thursday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Gary Donehew, Rev. Richard Nicley, Rev. Tyler Clay officiating with music by Linda Nicley. Interment 11 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Washburn. Pallbearers: Grandsons. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10 a.m. to go in the procession. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
