Obituary for Gary Lynn Wood
Gary Lynn Wood-age 62 of Luttrell passed away peacefully at his home Monday, September 12, 2016. Preceded in death by parents, Brady and Nola Lawson Wood; brothers, Don Wood, Duck Wood, Jim Wood; sister, Thelma Hill.
Survivors: loving wife of 40 years, Janice McAnally Wood, son, Brian (Kristy) Wood, Terry Wood; grandchildren, Megan (Devin) Turner, Kaitlin Wood, Karli Jo Wood, Ayden Wood, Jayda Wood; step-grandchild, Lexi Helton; brother, Franky (Tina) Wood; sisters, Molly Walker, Gail Atkins, Brenda (Jerry) Tharp; sisters-in-law, Melissa Washam, Kelly (Dale) Williams. Gary enjoyed sitting at the Whittler’s Shack, whittling with friends. He also enjoyed cock fighting, hunting and spending time with family.
Funeral services 2 P.M. Thursday, September 15, 2016 Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Sammy Muncey, Rev. Jason Dyer officiating with music by Jason and Tonya Dyer, Kay Coppock, DeAnna Beeler and J. T. Washam. Interment will follow at Wood Cemetery, Luttrell. Pallbearers: Denny Bates, Melvin Wood, Devin Turner, Jamie Adams, Johnny Buckner, Gary Woods. Honorary Pallbearers: Whittler’s Shack Crew. The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
