Obituary for Paul E. Marvin

Paul E. Marvin-age 87 of Strawberry Plains passed away Thursday morning, November 10, 2016 at home with the family by his side after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He was born October 2, 1929 in Ravenna, Ohio. He was a member of Charlestown Methodist Church, Charlestown, Ohio. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and served as an instructor at Lackland Air Force Base. A graduate of Kent State University, he had a full career of teaching in Ohio, Florida and Tennessee. He taught building trades at North Knox Vocational School 1971-1991. He was also a general contractor and president of Marvin Builders.

Preceded in death by his wife, Edna Marvin, parents, Roy and Betty Marvin; brother, Ray Marvin.
Survivors: Twin-daughters, Kay Marvin and Kathy Edwards; son, Doug Marvin and wife, Peggy Marvin; granddaughter, Crystal Wilson and husband, Brian Wilson; great-grandchildren, Daisy, Logan and Samantha. Special caregivers, Kim Loveday and Stephanie Joseph.

The family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2016 with funeral services to follow, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. James Whitson officiating. Interment to follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville. Pallbearers: Kathleen Edwards, Douglas Marvin, Dave Holton, Leonard Luttrell, Jr., Brian Luttrell, Larry Munsey. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
