Obituary for Jeffrey Alan Sweet

Jeffrey Alan Sweet-age 48 of New Tazewell passed away Monday afternoon, April 10, 2017 at U. T. Medical Center. He was a member of Carr’s Branch Baptist Church. Preceded in death by father, Jefford Sweet.

Survivors: wife, Iva Sweet, Sharps Chapel; sons, Gary and Billy Joe Sweet; mother, Lois Presley; sister, Teresa Sweet, both of New Tazewell; brother, Hank Sweet, Knoxville. Nephews, Kevin and Branden Winstead; niece, Brittany Winstead. One great-niece and three great-nephews.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017 with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. Thursday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Jimmy Poore, Rev. Sam Sweet, Rev. Randy Jones officiating with music by Hank Sweet. Interment 1 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2017, Big Barren Cemetery, Maynardville. Family and friends will meet 12 noon Friday at the funeral home to go in procession. Pallbearers: Kevin Winstead, Branden Winstead, Earl Presley, Keith Ford, Billy Sweet, Sam Sweet. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
