Obituary for Rev. Billy Lee Needham

Rev. Billy Lee Needham-age 79 of Washburn passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at his home with his family and friends. He was the pastor and member of Needham Chapel Church and had pastored several area churches in his career. U. S. Army Veteran. Preceded in death by parents, Basil and Mossie Needham, four sisters, three brothers.

Survived by loving wife of 60 years, Bonnie Smith Needham; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Ray and Tonia Needham, Rich and Steffanie Needham, Gary and Charlotte Needham, Frank and Jenny Needham; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Wilson Wilmouth, Beck and the late John Munsey, Robin and Larry Nicley, Reesa and Jason Helton, all of Washburn; 23 Grandchildren, Several great-grandchildren, sister, Fern Tharpe of Luttrell.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2017 with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. Friday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Joey McBee, Rev. Sean Needham officiating with music by Elm Springs Church Choir. Military graveside services 2 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017, Liberty Hill Cemetery, Washburn, presented by Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard. Family and friends will meet by 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession. Pallbearers: Grandsons, Chris Jordan, Kevin Williams, sons-in-law, Jason Helton, Wilson Wilmoth, great-grandsons, Glenn Williams, Stephen Miller. All the great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
